Feature request: Read receipts for defect notifications
It would be really useful to have read receipts / view status for defect notifications, so project teams can see whether a subby has actually opened and seen an assigned defect.
Why this matters
- Helps confirm the assignee has seen the defect within the required timeframe
- Reduces follow-up ambiguity around “I didn’t get it” or “I haven’t seen it yet”
- Makes it easier to manage accountability for overdue items
- Useful when teams are relying on Visibuild as the main communication channel rather than backing everything up by email/PDF
Ideal behaviour
- Show whether the assignee has opened the defect
- Show when it was first viewed
- Ideally distinguish between notification delivered vs defect actually opened
- Visible at least to project admins / reviewers
